Our Purpose:
-
To establish a community group for artists who share a common interest in working with colored pencil.
-
To help CPSA promote the colored pencil medium and provide artistic growth for its members by sponsoring local exhibitions, workshops, and establishing a presence in the community.
-
To promote the colored pencil medium as a tool for providing a helping and healing relief to those suffering from such things as anxiety, depression, and other similar illness.
About DC 224
CPSA District Chapter 224 was started on September 4, 2016.
Although many of our members are located in the Dallas/Ft Worth area, DC 224 enjoys a diverse membership of artists throughout the entire state of Texas as well as other states.
We are open to any colored pencil artist 18 years of age or older who wishes to join Chapter 224. However, as with any district chapter, CPSA membership requires that you be a member in good standing of the CPSA national organization in order to become a district chapter member. The CPSA national dues are $50 annually, and the chapter dues are $25 annually.
We will typically have general membership meetings 1 - 2 times a year. Guests are welcome to all of our general meetings and are encouraged to join our wonderful chapter.
We intend to host a couple of 2-day workshops each year (one in the Spring and one in the Fall) by various CP artists. They will be open to everyone who registers. Membership is not required, but chapter members do receive a workshop registration fee discount.
Come join us in supporting the National CPSA Organization and Chapter 224 - Dallas/Ft Worth!
