2023 Calendar

Saturday, January 14 - 10:00am - 12:00pm - Quarterly Chapter Zoom Meeting

This the first quarterly meeting of 2023 and we will be discussing the plans your leadership team are working on to ensure that the coming year will be a fun, dynamic and exciting one for DC224!  Sue Lienhart will update us on the activities of our new Workshop Committee so everyone is aware of some great things in store for 2023. We will also introduce any of our newest members who are able to attend the Zoom, and will have time for members to show any in-progress works, etc.

To help kick-off the new year in grand fashion, we are very fortunate to have Ruth Hoyt, an extremely accomplished, professional nature photographer join us!!!  She will be presenting a customized, hour-long program and may include (her choice) pertinent topics such as:

- Guidelines for obtaining good reference photos for your artwork (composition, light conditions (time of day, etc)

- Useful "go to" camera settings for DSLR camera for landscape, action, still, perhaps night shots

- Cell phone techniques (gridlines, other settings) to obtain quality art reference photos

- Hints/strategies for shooting birds, both still and in motion

You are encouraged to visit Ruth's website at to learn more about her.
